The American bicycling company has introduced the new Trek Fetch+ 4 electric cargo bike. The front loader cargo bikes e-cargo bike is developed in the Benelux office of the American base company Trek in Hardewijk, in The Netherlands.
Electric cargo market
The electric cargo market is known as an alternative to car usage. Short distances in a city with kids and cargo are the most environmentally friendly transportation in cities or villages. The Trek Fetch+ 4 can carry up to five children in the front box and has child seats mounted to the rear rack. The cargo box can carry up to 80kg, and the total weight of the bicycle, cargo, and rider is 250kg.
Fetch+ 4 specs
The Trek Fetch+ 4 has a Bosch, enviolo, Gates drive train. The Bosch Performance Line Cargo with 85 Nm of torque. Together with the motor is the 750 Wh PowerTube, a part of the Bosch Smart System. The enviolo Heavy Duty stepless gear hub is positioned in the 27-inch rear wheel, never clunky gear switching thanks to the CVP technology. The Gates CDX carbon belt drive completes the drive train of the Fetch+ 4.
Braking with full cargo is not a problem for the Fetch+4, thanks to the 4-piston hydraulic discs from Tektro. Unique for cargo bikes is the dropper post that Trek has integrated.
