With an integrated storage compartment the Trek Domane SL 5 2021 has a quite unique feature. The 500 Series OCLV Carbon endurance frame is build for smooth riding, speed, and versatility.
IsoSpeed smooth your ride
The lightweight OCLV Carbon frame has both Front and Rear IsoSpeed to smooth out bumps in the road and reduce fatigue so you can stay stronger on long adventures.
IsoSpeed was developed through a partnership between Trek engineers and Fabian Cancellara. IsoSpeed decouples the seat tube from the rest of the frame. This allows the seat tube and seat post to act like a spring under the weight of the rider. Learn more about this IsoSpeed feature on this Trek page.
Integrated storage compartment
Yes, the Domane SL 5 has an integrated storage compartment. As far as I know is Trek the first manufacture that has done this on a carbon road bike. Bontrager has designed the BITS bag to store a spare tire, CO2 cartridge and tire levers specially for this Trek Domane. You can even stow a BITS multitool in the storage door. With the integrated storage compartment in the Trek Domane SL 5 you have the space underneath the seatpost free for something else.
