A 3D printed Unibody Carbon Fiber Bicycle. That is the Superstrata 3D printed bicycle. An very interesting design and concept developed by California based company Superstrata.
3D printed Unibody Carbon Fiber Bicycle
The Superstrata 3D printed bicycle comes in three configurations. The Urban e-bike and Superstrata Sport. For the 3D printing production of the frames and forks, a new thermoplastic carbon fiber composites is being used. What make this bicycle furthermore interesting is the carbon fiber composites. That material weighs less than steel, therefor this frame weighs just 1.3 kg (2.9lbs) but is 61 times stronger. As you can see on the images, the seat tube is very short. It looks like its almost missing, therefor this design is also very interesting if you compare it to ‘normal’ bicycles. The unibody bicycles are coming in two different models, an urban and a sport model.
