Reevo a hubless e-bike developed by Beno Inc and is currently smashing their crowdfunding project at indiegogo.com. If you see the design of the Oohbike and you look at the Reevo you see some similarity.
Hubless wheels
When you look at traditional bicycle wheels are made of three essential parts the rim, spokes and hub, together they make a wheel. When you look at the Oohbike and Reevo you see that they spend a huge amount of engineering and designing to create a wheel that has no spokes and hub.
The hubless wheels on the Reevo e-bike still have some “extra” parts to get the work done. If you have watched Tron Legacy you can discover some inspiration source for this design.
Innovative bicycle
The Reevo is an innovative bicycle, to demonstrate this statement an overview of some of the features this e-bike has on board. Beside the hubless wheels the Reevo has an one-touch fingerprint sensor and integrated automatic lock and GPS tracking.
An ambient light sensor detects darkness and automatically turns on and off the ultra bright headlamps and tail light. The motion detect sensor sends a notification to you smartphone when somebody is touching your bicycle when you’re not around. With an invisible kickstand, an electric wheel lock, an USB charger connection and an adaptive pedal assist this e-bike has a lot to offer.
Reevo has an aluminium alloy frame with a 250W motor (in Europe, US has a 750W motor) a Reevo e-motor. LG lithium Ion cells are used for the battery which is fully charged in 3 hours. With a full battery you can ride around 60 km at a maximum speed of 25 km/h (in Europe).
With a 800 lumens brightness (equals 800 candles) LED head you have a good light at the road in darkness.
