Dutch premium e-bike manufacture Qwic introduced the Atlas off-road e-bike. The Qwic Atlas will be available at the end of 2021.
Qwic Atlas in new Adventure segment
With the announcement of the Atlas, Qwic adds a new segment to their portfolio. Besides the segment Comfort, Sport, and Urban there is a new Adventure segment. The Qwic designed this e-bike for a daily commute but also to take an off-road path to home or work. For the first time in the Qwic history, the battery is moved from the down tube of the frame to the top tube. This change makes the frame of the Atlas this first unisex frame.
How rides the Qwic Atlas?
We don’t know how the Atlas rides because it’s not available. What we do know are the specifications.
A 90 Nm middle motor, powered by an in-frame 522Wh battery is the power train. There is also an optional 756 Wh battery available. Then there is a choice between a belt or chain, for the chain, there is a Shimano 11 speed rear derailleur model. The Atlas Vario comes with a carbon belt and enviolo stepless gear hub model. A fully integrated Q Light produces 155 Lux. The hydraulic brakes and smartphone connection via the LCD complete the Atlas.
What is the mobility package?
With the Atlas, Qwic will also introduce a mobility package. This package includes three components: Find my bike, insurance, and roadside assistance.
There is room for an optional GPS system in the Atlas e-bike. Via the Bluetooth connection in the LCD, this option can be activated, your e-bike can be traced. With the bike insurance, ENRA and G4S (in the Netherland) will try to track down your bike. If your bike isn’t found a new bike should be available. The roadside assistance component can be contacted when your bike stops working. In an hour’s time, the assistance will pick up your bike and take it to your dealer for further service.
