With the Rise E-MTB Orbea developed a lightweight electric mountain bike that is build according to Rider Synergy (RS) concept.
Lightweight Orbea Rise E-MTB
The foundation of the lightweight Orbea Rise E-MTB is the Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) frame and the Shimano EP8 motor. With a weight of just 2.6 kg, a torque of 60 Nm and a max speed of 25km/h is the Shimano EP8 motor a powerful assistent for the rider. Other lightweight components on the Rise E-MTB family are the Alloy e*Thirteen 32T Chainring that fits the EP8 motor. Maxxis developed, the Rekon 2.4 3C Maxx Terra EXO+ 29ers tires. The build in RS 360Wh battery give you enough power for around 4 hours of joy. The battery weighs just 2.2kg. Furthermore the optional range extender can provide 252 Wh extra power. The extender is places in a cage that is also compatible for standard water bottles.

Orbea describes the Rider Synergy (RS) concept “a completely integrated system that becomes a reality when Power, Range, Interface and Weight are considered together.”
In other words the Rise E-MTB family gives you the joy of traditional trail riding with smooth and powerful support. With a trail geometry that is capable of handling the widest variety of terrain without making big compromises. The Fox Float DPS trail balanced suspension and the Fox 34 fork give the Rise MTB what it need to be the lightweight E-MTB.
RS Garmin IQ and Shimano E-tube mobile app
Not only has Rise E-MTB the electric power on board, Orbea has build some connected features on the mountain bike family. If you’re an owner of a Garmin smartwatch or bike computer you get more data to crunch after your trail. The Shimano E-tube mobile app gives you acces to fine-tune the presets for the EP8 motor.
